Dr Ang Soo Fan is a medical oncologist leading the Curie Oncology’s services in the Penang Adventist Hospital (PAH), Malaysia. He is currently Head of Department (Adventist Oncology Center) and treats patients across all cancer specialities.

Dr Ang graduated from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. He obtained the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP UK) in 2008 and underwent advanced specialty training in medical oncology at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS). Prior to joining Curie Oncology, he had practised in the various oncology centres at National University Hospital (NUH), Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and KK Women and Children’s Hospital (KKH), and NCCS as a Senior Consultant in the Division of Medical Oncology.

Dr Ang is actively involved in clinical research trials and member of PAH research committee participating in multiple international phase III clinical trials. He has published multiple publication and a key reviewer of several peered-review journals. As a strong advocate of oncology education, he is actively involved in teaching oncology trainees and nurses. Dr Ang has been widely invited to share his experiences at both local and international conferences. In recognition of his efforts in patient care, he received the Singapore Health Quality Service Award in 2012.

Across his medical career, Dr Ang has pioneered many cancer treatment protocols through pharmaceutical-sponsored clinical trials including advanced liver cancer, immunotherapy in resected liver cancer, autologous adoptive T-cell immunotherapy for advanced nasopharyngeal cancer, head and neck cancer, lung cancer, biomarker discovery research, etc.
