His medical education continued with a Post Graduate Internship at Chong Hua Hospital in Cebu from 2005 to 2006. During this time, Dr Alegrado demonstrated both exemplary medical knowledge and leadership skills, culminating in his recognition as the Most Outstanding Postgraduate Intern.

His professional affiliations extend internationally, including active memberships in the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the European Society of Medical Oncology, and the Philippine College of Physicians, enabling him to stay at the forefront of global oncology advancements.
