Biography
Dr. Omid Uysheche Etemadi is the first and currently only Integrated Oncology Healthcare Management Specialist in the Philippines. He completed his two-year academic Fellowship in Integrative Medicine from Univ. of Arizona Health Sciences Center. He then pursued Yale University’s Accelerated Management Program and subsequently became an Alumnus of the Johns Hopkins Academy for Healthcare Leadership and Management.
Dr. Etemadi is a Fellow of the Academy for Healthcare Management. He has been a Charter Member of the Society for Translational Oncology since 2009, a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology since 2010 and a State Society member of the Arizona Clinical Oncology Society since 2012.
Dr. Etemadi established CancerCare Philippines in 2012, as the country’s first cancer survivorship care program. He went on to be the Program Director of Chong Hua Cancer Center’s Survivorship Care Program, the Philippines’ first in-hospital cancer supportive care program in 2016.
Dr. Etemadi has received several national accolades including The Philippine Board of Medicine Certificate of Distinction, The Philippine Regulation Commission Medal of Excellence and the Pres. Sergio Osmena Academic Excellence Commendation. He was previously recognized as One of the Ten Most Outstanding Students of the Philippines Region VII by the Philippine Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS). He has also been the recipient of the prestigious Claude M. Wilson Scholarship Program Award in 2001.
