Dr Tan Ai Lian is a Clinical Oncologist at Curie Penang (Bagan Specialist Centre). She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in Clinical Oncology (UK), admitted in 2015, and holds her Doctor of Medicine from China Medical University, Taiwan.
Dr Tan has extensive experience in clinical oncology across Malaysia, having served as Clinical Oncologist at Hospital Pulau Pinang and Hospital Sultan Ismail, Johor Bahru, alongside visiting oncologist duties at Hospital Alor Setar. She undertook further training in oncology at Preston Hospital in the United Kingdom, and at the National Cancer Centre Singapore.
She has been Principal Investigator on more than 20 international, industry-sponsored clinical trials spanning lung, head and neck, gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and breast cancers, reflecting her active involvement in advancing cancer treatment and research. Dr Tan is fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin, Hokkien and Cantonese, enabling her to care for a broad range of patients.
